Liparamba Game Reserve

Liparamba Game Reserve was gazetted in 2004 and has an area of 570 km2. The word Liparamba originated from the word Liparamba which is the Matengo language meaning klipspringer. These animals are found at Liparamba hill.

The reserve is located on the southern highland of Tanzania at Mbinga District in Ruvuma Region. It is situated about 58km South of Mbinga and about 175km from Songea town.

The Liparamba ecosystem supports the following vegetation types; Zambezian Miombo woodland, Zambezian swamps and Afromontane rainforest.

Animals species found in the reserve include elephants, warthog, Wildebeest, baboon, buffalo, klipspringer, hippos, crocodile, black and white Colobus monkey.

The area can be accessible by Four wheel  and chartered Air craft.
